The airport

The Chibougamau-Chapais Airport is located halfway between Chibougamau and Chapais, 20 km away from Chibougamau on Route 113.

Established in 1982, the airport belongs to Transport Québec. Equipped with adequate and efficient ground installations, a terminal building, a parking lot and a service station for private hydroplanes, the airport plays an important role in the Baie-James region's economy.
