Development of the boreal forest’s mushrooms

Développement Chibougamau is proud to support a FaunENord initiative aimed at the development of the boreal forest's mushrooms by the study of their chemical composition and their anti-inflammatory, immunostimulant and anti-cancer properties. This ambitious project, generating promising return benefits, is the first in the field of non-timber forest products R & D to involve several Quebec regions. The three partners in this project are FaunENord, the UQAC's LASEVE Laboratory and the Coopérative forestière de la Rivière aux Saumons.
